We are born again and filled with God's Holy Spirit

When we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, we receive forgiveness of sins. We receive the cleansing from our sins and become as white as snow.
Once we are cleansed by the blood by receiving Jesus, God  then sends His Holy Spirit to reside on the inside of us. The Spirit of God is what gives us a new born life in the Spirit.
Just as a pumping heart gives life to the body. God's Spirit gives us life as Spirit beings. Just as you have DNA from your parents in the body, you now have God's DNA in the Spirit and are now children of the Most High God.

When we feed our Spirit (by reading the Bible and praying), we become alert, strong and senstive spiritually. As long as we are nourished spiritually the characteristics of God will shine through. The same thing in athletics, as long as you are eating right and exercising the traits and characteristics of being athletic will show through.

A good question to ask is what does it  mean to be filled with the Spirit of God. We are now part of Him, having the same power that rose Jesus to life living on the inside of us.(Romans 8:11) We just have to get a revelation of what this really means.

If we abide in the Father and the Father in us, why are we faling to do those things that Jesus did? (John17:22-23)  Jesus said He was only doing what He saw His father do. (John 5:19) Jesus also said that we would do the works that He did and even greater things. (John 14:12) We know that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) God doesn't change. (Malachi 3:6)

Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will accompany  those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

So why aren't we doing these signs? It's not because God has changed because He doesn't change, it's because we aren't seeking God with all of our heart and all of our mind. What is the common word here? ALL 100%
We need to be so focused on God and His will that we seek Him and nothing else.
That we would die to ourselves, our fleshly desires and our emotions that want to satisfy the flesh.

Is this easy? Not at all. Can we do it alone? No. What can we do? Let's pray.

Father you are so wonderful to love us just as we are. I thank you that I can come into your holy presence O Lord to praise you and give you thanks for giving me new life. I don't always know what I need to do for say. All I know is I want to be a living sacrifice. I want to be clothed in your power and to be on fire for you and your Word. I want your will to be done and not mine. Teach me O Lord your ways, your thoughts and give me a deep understanding and revelation of faith; the kind that moves mountains and heals the sick.
We know that when we believe we receive and everything is yes and Amen. (2 Cor. 1:20) So by asking these things in Jesus' name it's done. It's a legal seal, the mighty seal of Jesus in blood. Amen.

Faith

What is faith?
Hebrews 11:1- Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

The definition of sure is:

free from doubt as to the reliability, character, action, etc., of something

confident, as of something expected

convinced, fully persuaded, or positive

The definition of certain is:

destined; sure to happen

inevitable; bound to come

What happens when we have faith?

Healing

Mathew 9:22
Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.

Forgiveness

Mark 2:5
When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "son, your sins are forgiven."

Salvation

Luke 7:50
Jesus said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."

What can negate our faith?
Unbelief can negate (void out) our faith.

Mathew 13:58
And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Jesus was more than able and willing to heal but the people of his town did not believe and have faith to be healed, so he wasn't able to do much.

What is unbelief?
the state or quality of not believing; incredulity or skepticism

incredulity-  inability or unwillingness to believe.
skepticism- doubt

Mark 11:23
I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen it will be done for him.

James 1:6-8
But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

Having faith in God or whatever it is you are praying for means believing you have already been answered without physically seeing it with the physical eye or feeling it with your six senses.
Faith is essential to the Christian walk. Not only does faith play a big part but also not doubting.
Doubt will void out your faith.

Luke 17:5-6
The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!" He replied If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,'and it will obey you.

What was Jesus saying? Jesus is basically saying that you don't need much faith, a small amount of faith will uproot a tree if you command it to be uprooted in faith- being sure and confident without a doubt that it will be done upon you commanding it to be done.
So we can have faith and it doesn't take much but we cannot let doubt in, because once we doubt we won't trust, we won't believe and we cannot operate in faith and doubt at the same time.

It is time to start believing, receiving putting to work God's power in our lives!

What He Knows

Luke 22:61  And the lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remember the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock, thou shalt deny me thrice.

The Lord turned and looked upon him. Christ is here called the lord, for there was much of divine knowledge,  power, and grace, appearing in this. Though Christ had now his back upon Peter, and was upon Peter, and was upon his trial (when, one would think, he had something else to mind), yet he knew all that Peter said.

Christ takes more notice of what we say and do than we think he does. When Peter disowned Christ, yet Christ did not disown him, though he might justly have cast him off, and never looked upon him more, but have denied him before his Father. It is well for us that. Christ does not deal with us as we deal with him.

God Is Love

Have you ever felt unloved? Rejected? There is one that will never reject you reguardless of what you have done or said.
Jesus knows what it feels like to be rejected. He came to give us life and truth and never did anyone harm, but we crucified Him. He was beaten beyond recognition of being human, spit on, insulted,  and called names. He suffered that and abandonment from the disciples and to top it off was crucified for my sin and yours.
People just think about the pain of the nails going through his wrists and feet but there was a lot more to it. He was crucified naked, the shame of bearing everthing and going to the bathroom on himself. His own weight on his lungs.
He was taunted to come off the cross if He were really the Son of God. He could have but He chose God's will verses following His own feelings of wanting to run in the other direction. He prayed in the garden that if this some how could pass from Him to let it pass but if not let God's will be done. If Jesus would have followed His feelings instead of God's will we would never have been able to have a realationship with God.
We can have peace that surpasses all understanding, the joy that only comes from the Lord. The joy that comes from the Lord is the joy He gives us from within no matter what is going on around us.

Love is not an emotion or a feeling. Love is an action. The ultimate love is what Jesus did. His death in our place. We deserve that punishment but Glory be to God that He loved us too much to leave us in this state. He faced rejection, humiliation, beating and death for you and me. If you have felt unloved and rejection, turn to Jesus, He understands, He loves you and He is there to help you through every situation. Just call on His name...Jesus.

Fighting the Good Fight of Faith

1Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
When we hear from God and He tells us what is yet to come to pass we are encouraged and motivated to continue in God's will. What can happen though, as time goes by, the storms of life hit or if we are just plain under attack by the devil, it can discourage us. That's where doubt comes in and we start thinking about if we can really do what God said. We have to remember that it's not us but God in us that will complete what God has promised. We are His vessels, therefore we need to cooperate with God and not the enemy (devil). Doing this, the seed, being God's Word, will produce a harvest, which is God's perfect plan being set in motion and being completed for His Kingdom.
We have to fight the good fight of faith, believing God's Word without physically seeing the manifesations of it. God's Word is truth and He is not a man that He should lie. (Numbers 23:19)
Let us take hold of the eternal life, which starts when we confess Jesus is our Lord and Savior and believe in our hearts that Jesus died for us and was raised to life again. (Romans 10:9) From that moment on we continually are being molded and shaped into the likeness of Christ by being transformed by the renewing of our minds. (Romans 12:2)
The transformation will only take place by reading the Bible, which is the Word and is truth. The truth sets us free. (John 8:32) Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." .(John 14:6)
Whatever God has told us is true no matter how it looks, how you feel, whatever circumstances come up. God is mighty and powerful, His Word is true and everything that God speaks forth will come to pass. With this being said, let us not get discouraged or doubt. God is more than willing and able, He meets us where we are at and as long as we do what we can, He will do what we can't.
Fight the Good Fight of Faith!

For Us

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Thus dear did God hold the world. How dear? That He gave His only begotten Son for every one in the world who will trust in Him. And how did He give? He gave Him, in his birth as man, in order to be for ever one with us. He gave Him, in His death on the cross as Surety, in order to take our sin and curse upon Himself. He gave Him on the throne of heaven, in order to arrange for our welfare, as our Representative and Intercessor over all the powers of heavens. He gave Him in the outpouring of the Spirit, in order to dwell in us, to be entirely and altogether our own..........Yes; that is the love of God, that He gave His Son to us, for us, in us.

Nothing less than His Son Himself. This is the love of God; not that He gives us something, but that He gives us some one a living person not one or another blessing, but Him in whom is all life and blessing Jesus Himself.

"The True Shepherd" Palms 23

1.The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. (Jesus, our true Shepherd, supplies all our needs, spiritual and material, He knows everything you need, and He reveals these things to you through the Holy Spirit. A person in right relationship with Jesus Christ has God the Father watching over and protecting him or her. Believe the scriptures, believe the promises of God.) 2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. (Jesus brings spiritual rest to His people, we have peace with God because of the finished work of the cross. We have the assurance of eternal life through Him, but we also have been given an anointing of super natural peace through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that enables a believer to endure the storms of life and not give up. 3. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. ( through the Holy Spirit, Jesus heals us of past hurts and frustrations, He replenishes our spirits through time spent in close fellowship with Him, we are made strong through time in God's presence. God's heart and glory are with His people, The Church of Jesus Christ, the word of God says, He has chosen to display His many sided wisdom through "The Church", the invisible spiritual kingdom He has placed in the world through His Son Jesus. This brings glory to His name.) 4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. ( even as we walk through life in this fallen world, controlled on so many fronts by the kingdom of darkness, where there is no order, but only darkness and death, we need not be fearful because God is with us. Sometimes God will use a rod of correction to guide us through the pit falls the enemy sets in our paths, by "rod of correction" I mean the correction of a persons character, bringing him or her ever closer to the image of Christ, the staff of God is the gentle leading of God through the Holy Spirit to help make the correct decisions regarding your life. 5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. ( in this fallen world the Christian is on enemy ground, but we "the Church" have been made to be a light on the midst of darkness, God being our very high tower, provides for our needs even as we are beset on every side by evil. God heals and anoints His own, and He provides us with more than we need to make it through life. 6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. ( through Christ God brings pleasant things into our lives, when we confess our sins He stands ready to forgive us, Christ has saved all who call upon His name.
